"The room must be one of the best views from the hotel, it's on the the corner so had 2 windows, one view is looking towards the town centre the other is looking out over the river and the massive parish church, very nice, the room although not very big was really nice, comfy beds well decorated a good selection of tea and coffee and biscuits, and the bathroom was very modern with touch light mirror all the toiletries you need."

Central Hotel With Excellent Breakfast

helpful staff super clean condition central location

The reception staff proved most helpful. My Classic Single Room remained super clean and comfortable. It was well serviced. Its location proved central with river views. I enjoyed amazing breakfast and excellent coffee. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly.

I noticed no lift, so accessing rooms on higher floors required using the stairs. This could present difficulties who possess mobility issues. It was a small inconvenience. Maybe rooms are on the lower floors.

historic charm, minor hiccup

helpful staff smooth handling

i found the staff was really helpful and listened when i needed to change rooms because of an event nearby. they handled it smoothly and later checked if i was happy. i also appreciated that the hotel allowed guests to stay at their tables after the restaurant closed at 9pm to talk or play cards.

the bridal suite had a very poor view looking out at a car park, an empty supermarket, and an alleyway. also, the dimmer switch came off in my hand, and the toilet seat was wonky.

the food was great and the staff were cute i was informed about events on arrival which was acceptable

i found the bedroom carpet was wet through apparently the radiator had been leaking i believe this situation had persisted for days i expected an alternative room to be offered

fantastic stay in a cozy hotel

giant bath early parking good breakfast opulent suite

the mayflower suite was a total surprise. a giant bath sat right in the middle of the bedroom which was opulent. the hotel let us park early before check in for a wedding, that was nice. breakfast was really good and fueled us up for the day.

the room could get a little warm sometimes, and i did have to open a window.

I found the staff very pleasant and professional. The welcome tray was well stocked with quality items, which I thought was a lovely touch! Breakfast was excellent both mornings. The staff serving were very pleasant.

The walk to my room felt a little long because of the turning corridors.

I found the food at the restaurant delicious. the breakfast options were plentiful. It was a nice start to my day. the staff at the bar were kind and attentive throughout my stay.

I noticed that the bedside lamp didn't work. It was a bit inconvenient. the toilet needed a double flush, odd. the hotel has no lift. It meant navigating 22 steps to the first floor.
